Dr. Ruth M Shifman, DDS

Dr. Ruth Shifman was raised in Southern California and graduated from Thousand Oaks High School. She graduated UCLA with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. In 2002, Dr. Shifman earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from University of the Pacific, San Francisco. Upon graduation she worked for two years as an associate in Camarillo, CA.  She is currently on staff at Long Beach Memorial Hospital- Children’s Dental Health Clinic and visits the Catalina Island city of Avalon monthly to perform dental treatment for the children of the community. 

Dr. Shifman is committed to comfortable, pain free, and relaxed dentistry. That is why she has become certified in pediatric and adult oral sedation. She believes negative dental experiences should be a thing of the past. A top priority for her is equipping the office with the latest technology so that each patient can receive the best of dental care available.

She is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the Santa Barbara/ Ventura County Dental Society.

Dr. Shifman currently lives in Ventura County with her husband and their dog.
